IB-TECH, a global company, is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Imasen Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. based in Inuyama, Aichi, Japan. IB-TECH operates climate controlled manufacturing facilities in Bucyrus, Ohio and Mt. Pleasant, TN.
The Ohio facility in Bucyrus was established in 1997 and started mass production in 1998. Processes include stamping, welding, clinching, riveting, painting and assembly. Products include power seat adjusters, manual seat adjusters, manual seat rails, reclining adjusters and recliners for automotive seat assemblies. More than 300 associates are employed at the Bucyrus, Ohio facility.
The Tennessee facility in Mt. Pleasant was established in 2010 and mass production started in 2012. Processes include stamping, welding, clinching, riveting and assembly. Products include power seat adjusters, manual seat adjusters and reclining adjusters. The facility employs approximately 200 associates.
IB-TECH manufactures for auto makers including Honda, Subaru, Nissan, Acura, Mazda and Jeep; as well as ATV manufacturers including Honda and Yamaha.

Each model of seat adjuster must pass several types of quality testing. Static, durability, performance and material testing are performed to ensure products meet design specifications and safety requirements.
Three robotic transfer stamping lines consisting of 150 to 250 ton stamping presses at the Bucyrus, Oh facility.
One 1500 ton progressive stamping press and one robotic transfer stamping line at the Mt. Pleasant, TN facility.
Welding processes consist of projection and robotic arc welding.
E-Coat (cation) painting line with automated parts transfer system.
Assembly process consists of state of the art automated, robotic and manual assembly lines.
